Deniz has more than 27 years of solid international experience in financial services, working at executive level with many market leaders including JP Morgan Bank, State Street Services, Brown Brothers Harriman Bank and PwC, covering clients, operations and projects in Europe (Luxembourg, Switzerland, Liechtenstein, Ireland, UK, Italy, Turkey), Asia (Hong Kong, Japan, China, Singapore), the GCC (UAE, Bahrain) and the USA.
Her experience covers fund distribution, compliance, corporate governance, due diligence, supervision of service providers, operational risk management, investment funds (unregulated and regulated funds such as UCITS and alternative funds), back office operations, internal and external audit and client relationship and servicing management in addition to directorships for strategic clients.
She has managed strategic projects, such as outsourcing, business integration, client profitability reviews and infrastructure projects, plus projects for the implementation of EU Directives and regulatory requirements, such as UCITS, AIFMD, FATCA, MIFID and AML/CTF.
Following Deniz’s relocation to Switzerland, she continues to manage her own management consulting business that she established in 2014 in the UAE, providing services and solutions to asset, fund and investment managers, consulting firms and promoters launching investment vehicles. She works closely with clients, asset managers and service providers in Luxembourg, Switzerland, Liechtenstein, the UK and the Middle East that focus on social impact investing.
She also supports Fintech businesses from China, Hong Kong and Singapore with their ICO, blockchain and exchange projects.
Deniz is a CFA Charterholder and an active Board member of the CFA Society Emirates. She successfully organised the Middle East Investment Conference in Abu Dhabi in February 2017 and the MENA Investment Congress in February 2018.
She is active in many Swiss and EU Fintech, Impact Investing and financial services associations, such as Swiss Impact Investment Association, Swiss Finance + Technology Association, CFA Societies Switzerland and Emirates.
