Chinese Lawyer with long successful experience in advising clients on commercial and corporate matters in China

James has been advising numbers of US, European, Australian and Asian companies investing in China by way of setting up RO (Representative Office), JV (Joint Venture), WOFE (Wholly Owned Foreign Enterprise) or merger and acquisition with Chinese companies.

With 20 years of legal experience, James is expertise in advising clients on commercial and corporate matters, James currently is the legal counsel to numbers of foreign-invested companies, including Nestle Guangzhou, Swire Guangdong Coca-Cola，Tyco International, Tupperware China, Coface China, Candy China, Taly China, etc.

James has been involved in a number of large-scale assignments involving cross-border liquidation and restructuring, include GITIC and Guangdong Enterprises (Holdings) Limited (GDE) projects and numbers of insolvency tasks in connection to large companies with Hong Kong or Offshore background, such as Moulin Global Eyecare Holding, Tack Fat Group, Peace Mark, Boto Ltd, Asia Aluminum, Sino-Environment, China Packaging and China Metal Recycling Holding, etc.,

James has rich experience in Capital Market. He has participated in quite a few domestic and foreign IPO and M&A projects, and has handled several projects successfully listed in the National Equities Exchange and Quotations as the project leader.

James has been represented numbers of foreign clients or foreign invested companies on investment or trade dispute with Chinese companies in China International Economic and Trade Arbitration Commission (CIETAC) and the courts across China, James is leading a team to provide collection service and litigation for Coface and Ping An Insurance arising from trade credit insurance service.
