About Kvale

Kvale is a commercial law firm that has been assisting Norwegian and international business enterprises since its establishment. Through steady organic growth, we have passed many major milestones. We now number over 100 employees, including 75 lawyers.

Our operations are based on a “true partnership” model, where financial success benefits the entire firm, not just the individual partner. In this way, we foster genuine cooperation and knowledge-sharing, which in turn paves the way for the best possible advice and value creation for our clients.

Kvale is expanding rapidly in both business activities and number of lawyers. The foundation for this growth is our focus on high professional quality and excellent service. Our experienced lawyers offer specialist assistance in all key areas of commercial law. We have a particularly strong position in oil & gas, litigation, insolvency and restructuring.

We are a Norwegian firm with large freedom to build national and international network. We have through Advocatia good connections with several law firms in Norway. We assist national and international clients in both the public and private sectors, whether they are major enterprises, small businesses or private individuals.

Kvale has established good relations with established and acknowledged law firms in a number of countries and participates in leading international networks of law firms and in networks for experts within different business sectors or specialisations. We are participating in TAGLaw which is one of the leading networks for law firms in the world. In addition we have a German Desk.

We cover the majority of commercial law fields. Kvale is, perhaps, best known for assisting many of Norway’s largest companies with their most important cases. We provide powerful presentations of cases involving complex matters of fact, demanding matters of law, substantial sums of money and the need for in-depth knowledge of the sector.

When we accept a commission, we abide by the Norwegian Bar Association’s guidelines, and our clients will receive confirmation in advance of applicable terms and conditions. We enter into framework agreements with clients who wish to have legal representation permanently on call or who require legal services on a regular basis.
